Alabama endemic.
No occurrence record in ALNHP database but the US Fish & Wildlife Service (http://www.fws.gov/daphne/es/specieslst.html#Wilcox) lists this species as occurring in Wilcox County.
The Bald Eagle was removed from the Federal List of Endangeredand Threatened Wildife (delisted) June 2007, but is still protected by provisions of the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Historic occurrence.
Scaphirhynchus platorynchus is not included in Nongame Species Regulation 220-2-.92, page 75-78 (2007-2008) but all species of sturgeon are protected by Regulation 220-2-.26(4), page 46 (2007-2008).
