No occurrence record in ALNHP database but the US Fish & Wildlife Service (http://www.fws.gov/daphne/es/specieslst.html#Tuscaloosa) lists this species as occurring in Tuscaloosa County.
Historic occurrence.
The Bald Eagle was removed from the Federal List of Endangeredand Threatened Wildife (delisted) June 2007, but is still protected by provisions of the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. 10 The USFWS lists Pleurobema furvum as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. ALNHP considers P. furvum a synonym of P. rubellum following the taxonomy used by James D. Williams, Arthur E. Bogan, and Jeffrey T. Garner in Freshwater Mussels of Alabama & the Mobile Basin in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee (2008).
